Raster Extra Credit Project
Happy Dan has been to a lot of places in his life, and most importantly he is happy no matter what happens. This time however things may not go so well for Happy Dan. CartoonLand Seemed like a great idea, an escape from reality so to speak, but maybe too far from reality. All is looking up upon arriving to his new fun-filled home town when things begin to seem strange. The happy cartoon bears have been infected with an unknown disease that causes them to crave the flesh of their fellow cartoonians. Will Happy Dan survive to tell the tale of his unfortunate decision? Will he still be happy? Only time will tell in his new book, Happy Dan in CartoonLand...It's Not All it Seems.
My Self Portrait
In my self portrait i tried to fit as many of my hobbies in as I possibly could. I also decided to incorporate myself into each item because I feel that the things I enjoy doing make me who I am. I love photography and playing the guitar so those were obvious musts. I also decided to throw the laptop in because I am a total nerd when it comes to computers and I spend a good deal of time on them, unless they are Macs. My next nerd related hobby is the Xbox seen on the top of the photo. I have spent a great many nights putting off essays in order to advance to that next level on whatever game I am currently obsessing over. Last we see that I am in fact floating out in the middle of space in front of the Helix nebula which is about 700 lightyears from earth making it one of the closest nebulas to us. I am absolutely nuts about space so it only felt appropriate to tie everything together floating through it.
The Art of Guitar Making
Guitars are an amazing instruments and an incredible amount of work goes into making each and every one. I found a great article describing the process and a little bit of history involving the art of guitar making. Check out the link.

In honor of the first blogger assignment that we did i thought i would find a little sampling of my favorite artist for everybody. Many people are familiar with the first video below, but are not familiar with how it was made. After viewing this epic backwards music video i suggest that you scroll down to the video directly below it to see the "making of" video. He had to learn to sing the song backwards so that when the video was played backwards it would be forwards. It is very confusing and interesting, but it is also a wonderful work of art.

Time well spent
I needed to access blackboard but it was down so i found this video and watched it about 23 times. I felt like everyone should be privileged enough to enjoy.
3 Questions / First Day
To me art is defined as something that in most cases is hard or almost impossible to perfectly replicate from piece to piece due to the time and creativity that is put into it. Art could also be anything that has not been done before even if it is fairly simplistic.
It is tough to choose who my favorite artist is with so many talented people in the world, but if I had to choose I would choose Jack Johnson. He is a lyrical wordsmith, a guitar genius, and he does well with live performances unlike many musical artist these days.
My favorite colors by far are a tie between very dark red and black.
